​LENTEN PROGRAM 2025
All are encouraged to walk the path of conversion through the Lenten disciplines of prayer, fasting, and acts of charity. As a parish, let us invite others to join us on our Lenten journey as we strive to deepen our relationship with the Lord and follow His way.

All Fridays of Lent are days of Abstinence.
​
Ash Wednesday, March 5th and Good Friday, April 18th, are days of Fast and Abstinence.
​
LAW OF ABSTINENCE – No meat allowed. Binds those 14 years of age and older.
LAW OF FAST – One full meal, two lighter meals, no eating between meals. Binds those 18 to 59 years of age.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS – FRIDAY EVENINGS
Our Lady of Lourdes at 6:00 pm and at Our Lady of La Salette at 6:30 pm.

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
All are encouraged to seek the Lord’s forgiveness and receive the abundant grace of His mercy and love. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be held Saturday afternoons from 3:15 to 3:45 pm.

SACRIFICIAL GIVING
OPERATION RICE BOWL – Please take a Rice Bowl and consider sacrificial giving and self-denial as we unite in prayer for those in need. The proceeds benefit Catholic Relief Services.

HOLY WEEK
HOLY THURSDAY, April 17th – No morning Mass. Mass at 6:30 PM at Our Lady of La Salette. Mass will be followed by Eucharistic Adoration until 8:00 PM.
​
GOOD FRIDAY, April 18th – Liturgy at 3:00 PM at Our Lady of La Salette. Liturgy will be followed by the Stations of the Cross. This is a day of fast and abstinence.
​
HOLY SATURDAY, April 19th – Vigil Mass at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of La Salette.
​
EASTER SUNDAY, April 20th – regular Sunday schedule.

Annual Catholic Appeal
Thank you for your past support of the Annual Catholic Appeal which provides funds for many of the pastoral, educational and other charitable ministries within the Diocese of Norwich. As we embark on our 2025 ACA, One Faith, One Family, we thank God for the strength and love we have received from Him during this past year, when we, relying in our ONE FAITH, have uplifted our brothers and sisters in our ONE FAMILY. The ACA in-pew collection will take place in our parish on March 29 and 30, 2025. Please give prayerful consideration when contemplating your sacrificial gift to the appeal. The future of our ministries depends on it. Thank you for your support.

Faith Formation News
We are accepting new Catechists for 2025-2026. There will be a few openings so please join us September through April on the 2nd and 3rd Sunday of each month from 9:15 to 10:45 am. No formal training is necessary, and manuals are provided. Parents or other family members of students make a great addition to our classes. Class sizes are small. Required: a background check and online training (about 1 to 2 hours to complete). Please reach out to the Director of Religious Education, Rebecca Swagger at 860-377-0387 with any interest or questions. Thank you for this consideration to keep our Faith Formation at LaSalette and Lourdes going!

​Sanctuary Candle
The Sanctuary Candle is available and be purchased to light in honor of a loved one or for a special intention. The donation is $20 for the week. Please contact the rectory at 860-774-6275.

CCD Classes
CCD classes will begin on Sunday, September 29th. Classes will be held this year on the 2nd and 3rd Sunday of the month from 9:15 to 10:45 am in the church basement at our Lady of LaSalette Church. Please contact the rectory at 860-774-6275 if you are interested.

​​​​​​Adoration
"Could you not watch with me for one hour" Matthew 26:40. Every Wednesday from 8:30 am to 6:45 pm, we have a truly rewarding experience to sit with God for one hour each week, undisturbed by phones, traffic, appointments, etc. in Adoration at Our Lady of LaSalette Church. It is an honor assigned to only chosen parishes with the commitment to keep company with God. If you are interested in participating for one hour, please pick up and complete one of the forms available at the entrances of the church.

Knights of Columbus News
The Knights of Columbus, Council 49, Mystical Rose, shall be showing the movies "Mother Theresa: No Greater Love" after the 11:00 am Mass on Sunday, March 30th. All Parishioners of Our Lady of LaSalette and Our Lady of Lourdes are invited to this showing. Refreshments will be provided by the Social Committee of Our Lady of LaSalette. The life of Saint Theresa is a great example and an inspiration for us all as we continue our Lenten journey.

Eastern Europe Spiritual and Cultural Tour, 2025
